- Mr. Zhou Haoyu graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Master's degree in Life Sciences, and his undergraduate degree was in Biology at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to joining Foundin IP, Mr. Haoyu Zhou worked at a top tier patent firm in Osaka, Japan, and primarily worked on patent prosecution and invalidation cases. After joining Foundin IP, Mr. Zhou worked as a patent attorney and was promoted to a partner in 2020. He is primarily responsible for patent prosecution, patent invalidation, patent enforcement and opinion work for both domestic and overseas clients.
- Mr. Haoyu Zhou currently co-manages Foundin’s biotech and chemistry team. He is highly appraised by clients and colleagues for solving difficult IP issues in both China and overseas. His business scope includes Chinese and overseas patent prosecution, patent reexamination, patent invalidation, as well as IP management such as patent licensing and patent litigation. Due to his great services, he maintains a good relationship with clients from China, Europe, the U.S, Japan, and other countries. He is good at helping domestic clients solve patent problems encountered overseas, as well as helping non-Chinese clients to solve intellectual property challenges encountered in China. The main technical fields he is involved in are small-molecule drugs, biosimilars, medical devices, food processing, cosmetics, and industrial designs. Every year Mr. Haoyu Zhou will attend 3-4 international IP-related conferences and has published numerous academic articles on Chinese and overseas patent laws in both domestic and international journals.
